Mock Trial

"The Constitutional Rights Foundation runs the mock trial program for students across the state of California. Each year, students are provided a hypothetical case and an opportunity to examine legal issues within a structured forum. Mock Trial is designed to provide a powerful and timely educational experience, and help students conduct a cooperative, vigorous, and comprehensive analysis of the case materials with the careful guidance of teachers and volunteer attorney coaches.

"CRF seeks to instill in our nation's youth a lifelong commitment to the principles expressed in our Constitution. CRF does this by leveraging the commitment of teachers and amplifying the voice of young people. CRF civic education resources are interactive and non-partisan with an emphasis on civil discourse. They are research-based and aligned to standards. We aim to engage young people to become active and empowered participants in our democracy."
