TK–Kindergarten

Teacher: Mrs. Briana Perez

Research shows that providing your children with a positive Kinder or Transitional Kinder program has beneficial long-term effects on their overall education. Experts have found that children who attend high quality programs have better vocabularies and more advanced literacy.

In addition, children in strong TK–K programs have advanced social skills and are more adaptable to changes and new situations.

For many children, 1st–2nd grade is the foundation of their education. It is a time for both play and learning, two facets in which there is a great deal of overlap. Leaving Kindergarten is a big step for children, our 1st–2nd grade class focuses on developing your children’s skills so that they approach school with confidence, excitement and eagerness.

Teacher: Mrs. Sierra Hathorne, M.A.

Within 3rd through 4th grades, young learners begin to bridge concepts across subjects, work in small groups and partnerships, and form the basic structure and foundation for later grades.

They will quickly find out which subjects and topics they are naturally inclined toward, and those they are not. Our 3rd–4th class involves hands-on learning, learning through movement, and small group work.

Teacher: Ms. Michele Cortner

In 5th and 6th grade, students are given more responsibility and autonomy over how they learn. They should be self-managing and organizing by the end of the two years to prepare for a successful middle school experience. Parents can expect to see growth in vocabulary, writing and conversational skills, and problem solving in math and science.

Our 5th–8th program also requires a digital device–tablet or laptop–to begin transitioning students to the online platform. They will learn typing and light coding, how to use the Microsoft Suite, and how to be a responsible Digital Citizen.

Teacher: Mrs. Samantha Macias, M.F.A.

Middle School is a time of self-discovery! Students will form firm friendships, grow a true desire for learning and success, and discover their purpose in the world as a servant of God. We want our 6th-8th graders to be fiercely independent and strive for academic success out of self-desire.

Students will tackle real-world concepts and problems in math, science, and history, such as buying a car, balancing a checkbook, protecting human rights, and debating Moral/Ethical issues in our modern world. Project-based learning, leadership, and independent small group work is emphasized in our Middle School program.
